"The 2007 Bourgueil Peu Muleau comes from 35 year old vines at the top of the sunny slope overlooking Restigne, on aeolian sand that gives pretty violet-scented wines for earlier drinking. The wine shows brilliant purple colour, with violet and cassis leaf perfume on the nose; you can sense the purity of the organic fruit, along with its lofty site and warm sandy soils giving a supple, charming cherry cassis fruit expression and refreshing palate, succulent even.
