One of the leading lights in the Pessac-Leognan appellation is Ch Carbonnieux, run by the Perrin family. 20 years ago this estate was one of the first to develop the concept of barrel fermentation, resulting in a resurgence of popularity in dry White Bordeaux. Ch. Tour Leognan is the second label of that property. This style of modern dry White Bordeaux displays striking aromas of tropical and exotic fruit, brought about by fermenting the grapes in new oak barrels. This makes this wine a brilliant aperitif or enables it to partner full-flavoured fish dishes or goat’s cheese.
