2006 Pommard Les Bertins,1er cru, Sylvain Loichet

Still restrained on the nose, this promises to mature into a wonderful Pommard. With a deep colour, rich red fruit and a little smoky oak, the perfectly balanced ensemble is completed by firm, ripe tannins. Definitely one to decant a couple of hours in advance, enjoy this from 2011-2017,ideally as young as possible to experience its burst of primary red fruit still in evidence. It can be cellared for a few years to let the smoky spice evolve further.
