"Gianfranco Soldera's Brunelli are a class apart: the nose sings with the
purest of raspberry essence and delicate tea-leaf restraint, reminiscent of
Burgundy at its most refined. Twenty-five year old vines, the use of only
free-run juice, fermentation and up to 6 years invecchiamento in large old
slavonian oak has delivered this most ethereal and enthralling beauty; the
palate racy pure with almost cranberry-esque crunch, yet all the while so
refined and aristocatic. The warm vintage makes this is a joy to drink even now
but will improve till 2020, and beyond. Roast shoulder of organically-farmed
lamb will only do."
