Closalbières is the premium cuvée from Chateau Ricardelle, again
made up of equal proportions of Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre, but
this time aged for twelve months in barrel. The result is astonishingly good,
with fine tannins, plenty of red and black fruit, and pleasing hints of spice
and pepper, all beautifully integrated and with great length.
