Blue Hanger Blended Malt, 4th Limited Release, Bottled 2008

The birth of Blue Hanger 4th Limited Release follows hot on the steps of the great success of Blue Hanger 3rd Limited Release 30 year-old which won Best Blended Malt in this year's World Whiskies Awards we are delighted to announce. This 4th Limited Release differs from its predecessors in that a wider range of ages has been used. As with most winning teams there is a balance between the benefits of relative youth and the refinements that come with age.

The nose is oozing with heather-honey sweetness, ripe oranges and a hint of dark toffee. The palate offers luscious sweetness with wavering citrus and clean oak. The flavours build slowly and gently with a little black pepper eventually showing. The finish is ethereal, long and more-ish.
