2006 Les Charmes de Kirwan, Margaux

Beautifully pure fruit with great concentration - this is a charming, yet serious wine. The palate has the complexity that one would associate with 'proper' winemaking and it also has a polish and sheen to it found in wines with real gravitas. The palate is redolent of red cherries and tobacco spice with a vibrant acidity. Drink now and for up to 5 years.
