Succulent wine, with nothing of the traditional austerity of young Bordeaux.A glorious aroma of black cherries, with a hint of prunes, leaps from the glass; on the palate the wine is velvety soft with more flavours of crushed black fruits, and on the finish there is ample evidence of ripe tannins which will ensure that the wine keeps well. Ideal with meat casseroles and lamb.
(Alun Griffiths MW, BBR Wine Director)

"Lovely sweet black cherries with a touch of prunes on the nose. Very soft on the approach followed by a wave of freshly crushed black fruits. Great intensity and a long velvety yet firm finish. This wine is perfect now and will provide enjoyable drinking for the next 5 years. This is Pomerol level without the price tag. I had this wine at 2 different occasions recently and I would recommend to open it at least an hour before you serve it. It will go especially well with any red meat dishes and casseroles."
(Max Lalondrelle, BBR Fine Wine Purchasing Manager)
