William Fèvre was one of the first in a now long list of European
vignerons attracted to the benevolent climate and pure soils of Chile. Don
Victor comes from panoramic vineyards in the high Maipo Valley, in the enclave
of Pirque to be precise. The grapes have been hand-harvested and matured for
four months in both French and American barrels.
This wine is made from 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc, the
latter lending attractive aromas and a pleasing freshness to a palate which is
rich and finely structured, with notes of plum and blackberry to the fore and a
spicy finish. With soft nicely crafted tannins and balancing acidity, this
would work well with casseroles or game. (Simon Field MW - BBR Buyer)
