Veneto's Eiswein: aged for less time than the Amarone and in smaller 118 litre barrels to give a bristlingly pure wine, the nose fabulously redolent of intensely packed blackberries and their pips; the palate so lively, so agile, so pure yet at the same time rich (123 grams of dry extract) and intensely sweet (86 grams of residual sugar). Such brilliant poise, the alcohol in perfect balance. Drinking now till 2018, especially with the finest trinitario chocolate!
