Product Details
1994 Berrys' Own Selection Craigellachie, Speyside (57.4%)
(code: 71319B)
Craigellachie was founded in 1888 by Peter Mackie and Alexander Edwards. Mackie
later went on to build the Lagavulin distillery on Islay. The distillery is
situated very close to where the river Spey is spanned by Telford's famous
bridge. This whisky is rarely found in bottle as most of the production
contributes to blends. Delicate smoke emerges with buttered toast aromas. There
is some fruit skin sweetness edged with biscuit notes. The palate is full and
rounded giving bursts of succulence. A nutty, dry, malty finish completes the
experience
