2007 Clos de Vougeot, Grand Cru, Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair
Most of the vines used to create this Grand Cru date back to the 1940s. Brilliantly silky on the palate, there is an absolute sense of harmony to this wine from first sniff to final aftertaste.

A seductive nose of smoky, spicy dark fruits that is atypical for the 2007 vintage but incredibly sexy. The weight on the palate is medium body but full flavour that will shock your system into paying attention. The intense spice, cloves and lush dry fruit flavours feel like velvet on the tongue and the finish is seamless and smooth, very much up to Grand Cru level. Drinking 2015-2018.

2007 Clos de Vougeot, Grand Cru, Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair
Reticent red pinot fruit, warm earth and plum aromas introduce, rich, full and impressively concentrated medium weight plus flavors brimming with dry extract and volume and while the finish delivers excellent drive and length, the tannins are on the finer side for a young Clos de Vougeot. There is the classic youthful austerity as well but this should be more of a medium-term rather than long-term ager.
