2008 Waterford Chardonnay, Stellenbosch, South Africa

Without doubt one of Kevin Arnold's most celebrated Chardonnays, aided by a stunning vintage and fine Stellenbosch terroir. Tasted blind you could be forgiven for mistaking this for something from the Cote de Beaune, such is the precision of grapefruit, limey, citrus fruit, tight toasty character from 60% new french oak, mineral, leesy complexity. Only the kiwi fruit finish gives the game away.
