The passionate and talented producer Yves Gangloff owns a mere 5-acres of
vines, located in Cote Rotie and Condrieu, but crafts suberb wines, aptly
demonstrated by his 2006 Cote Rotie La Barbarine. This classy wine exhibits
attractive nose of dark olives intermixed with plum jam, barbeque notes, and
licorice scents. Ripe, dense, and spice-laden, with noticeable new oak,
polished, rich Cote Rotie is now at its finest band until 2012.
