2008 Grand Prebois VDP Rouge, Domaine Perrin
(code: 72478B)
Le Grand Prébois is a part of the holdings of François Perrin,
situated on the road from Jonquières and Orange, 2km as the crow flies
from Château de Beaucastel. The vineyard covers 40 hectares, of which 30
ha lie within the Côtes-du-Rhône appellation and from where the
Grenache for the Perrin's Réserve is selected. The rest is classified as
Vin de Pays. The wine is hearty, with soft tannins, and a fine, spicy depth. It
is composed of 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre.
