2007 Clos de Vougeot, Grand Cru Domaine d'Eugénie

The sizeable holding of ha of Clos de Vougeot requires two fermentation tanks. For one of these the grapes were de-stemmed, as per the rest of the domaine, but the stems were retained for the other with very interesting results. In fact the blend of both versions makes the most exciting wine. Dynamic, an explosion of fruit, yet all in a very focussed Burgundian context.
