In 2004 they dug up the poor clones. In 2006 they took on Stéphane
Derenoncourt and built a new winery. So 2007 and 2008 are wines of the new era.
Very deep blackish crimson. Meaty/yeast extract. Very sweet. Rich. Lively. Not
the sweetest Pomerol 2008 but very dense. Energetic and lively. Big improvement
on some past vintages. Very positive and structured but with good flesh and
concentration. Long. Cool, fresh, succulent, limpid and not forced. Very
slightly rustic but lots of personality – a success!
