2002 Viña Alberdi, Reserva, La Rioja Alta
(code: 72979B)
The 2002 Reserva Vina Alberdi is a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Mazuela
(Carignan). Medium ruby in color, it exhibits a nicely developed and expressive
nose of cedar, spice, and red currants. Light to medium-bodied, seamless, and
elegant, this is a bench-mark old –school Rioja, approachable now and
deceptively powerful when in the presence of rich Spanish dishes.
