The wines of Meursault are renowned as the richest of the three famous
Côte de Beaune villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and
Meursault. Made with the assistance of top winemaker Patrick Javillier, this is
a an especially elegant example with a gentle figgy nose and a lovely palate of
rich, creamy lemon fruit and hints of nut and banana. A firm structure supports
the classy, restrained, vanilla oak notes and the very long finish. This would
be excellent with cream-based fish and white meat dishes.
