2007 Meursault Vireuils, Jean-Yves Devevey

Jean-Yves Devevey's Meursault Vireuils combines elegance with some minerality. Fleshy palate with layers of fruit supported by the oak characters, harmonious but will soften up with time.

The Meursault from the Les Vireuils vineyard is traditionally the Devevey wine that requires the most patience. Fine and sophisticated, it is defined by a streak of pure minerality which shines through, pointing towards its roots in the terroir of this north-east facing corner of the appellation. This should age well over the next five years.
