Fourches in this sense are gallows, which apparently used to hang in the vineyard. This combines the plumminess of Nuits-St Georges with the Chambolle-esque fragrance of a Mugnier wine. This is a delicious, approachable, soft-textured wine that will drink well between 2010 and 2016.
