From New Zealand's Hawkes's Bay, this 45% Cab. Sauvignon, 37 % Merlot and 18%
Cab. Franc is rated as New Zealand's top Bordeaux blend, aged for 20 months in
new & seasoned barrels, resulting a cool, chiselled, extremely elegant
wine. Magenta in colour and aromas of blackcurrants, very ripe cherries and
marzipan. Perfectly ripe and floral, it shows flavours of brambly blackcurrants
and dark cherry syrup with hints of rosemary. The palate is powerful with
fine-grained tannins leading to a long, firm finish. Match with a peppered side
of beef.
