2007 Bianco Secco, Quintarelli, Veneto
As you would expect, Quintarelli's single white wine sports the effortless elegance associated with the reds, from a charming come-hither vintage: a silky thread and perfume of mealy, peach and apricot-stone fruit characterising this delicate yet full bodied dry wine, with Garganega at its heart along with Trebbiano, Sauvignon and a local twist of Saorin (Tocai) giving a hint of honey. Gorgeously cerebral. Match with all manner of fowl or fish.
