1988 Sercial Frasqueira

This single-vintage (aka Frasqueira) wine has been fortified with the addition of 96% alcohol and matured for 20 years in old French oak casks. It has a level of alcohol of 19.2 degrees and 56 g/l of residual sugar. Uncaramelised, this is an archetype of Sercial with a nose of rancio and dried fruit and an incredibly evocative palate, which wears its unusually high (for a Sercial style) sweetness with real style.
