René Rostaing's Puech Noble Blanc is a blend of 50% Grenache Blanc, 35%
Rolle ( Vermentino) and 15% Viognier. The wine has been fermented in stainless
steel only, which is almost surprising, given its complexity and diffuse
perfumes evocative of honeysuckle, acacia, lemon grass and a hint of salinity.
The palate is lovely, honey rich, built with citric acidity butressing the
back; the mouth-feel is generous but not cloying, complex with hints of tilleul
and sherbet evidenced. Aromatic, stylish and very elegant. The Rostaing magic
has travelled South. Drinking now and for three years.
