Sylvain Loichet’s best plot of Côte de Nuits Villages feels just as exciting as the 2007, which is currently starting to give great pleasure. There is a wealth of fruit here with blackcurrants and loganberries all mingling harmoniously. Loichet’s reds always take time to evolve but this is destined to be spectacular for its appellation.
