2003 Ch. Belair St. Emilion

Modest quantities of tart red currants, wild cherries, damp earth, and wet rocks emerge from this medium to dark ruby-colored 2003. It is light to medium-bodied, with crisp acidity and an angular personality, but it possesses more flesh and suppleness than most wines produced by Pascal Delbeck. Although there is little depth and substance, the wine’s good acidity and angular personality will ensure a long lifeline.
