2007 Chono Cabernet Sauvignon, Maipo Valley
(code: 74053B)
The complex soil structure of the Maipo Valley, allied to its location close to
The Andes and ensuing cooling influences, have provided a perfect backdrop for
Chono’s grapes. The grapes in question for this wine are Cabernet
Sauvignon ( 85%), Cabernet Franc ( 5%) and Carménère. Under the
supervision of the esteemed Alvaro Espinoza, the grapes have been vinified
separately, a significant percentage lightly oaked. It is the fruit above all,
however, which underlines the quality, and ripe and finely textured fruit it is
too!
