2005 Neyen, Espiritu de Apalta Colchagua Valley
From some of the finest (and oldest) vines in Chile, this magisterial wine  comes from ungrafted 100 year old Carmènere vines in Apalta, in Colchagua valley , and demonstrates just what can be done in these beautiful Chilean vineyards. Made by Patrick Valette from 70% Carmenère, the balance Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is matured for 14 months in new French oak . Classy robust structure and genuine complexity of flavour.

2005 Neyen, Espiritu de Apalta Colchagua Valley
The purple-colored 2005 Espiritu de Apalta is composed of 50% Carmenere and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon bottled without filtration. It offers a spicy, toasty perfume with blue fruit and black cherry. Smooth-textured and plush on the palate, this savory, well-balanced wine has enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years. The finish is long and pure.
