In keeping with the good vintage, this 100% Sagrantino di Montefalco combines broader, lush blackberry/brambly/mulberry notes with a element of wood spice (50% new Saury barriques if you're wondering). Still a bambino, the palate is relatively closed, requiring another couple of years to grow up. Drinking along with venison.

Black fruits, impenetrable tannins, dry and mean and tough. Needs some understanding and patience.
