2005 Barolo, Cru La Serra, Az. Agr. Giovanni Rosso
Arguably the most refined, aerie, and perfumed of all Davide's wines, thanks to the vineyard's dizzy elevation, white calcareous soils and vertiginous slope facing south/south-east. A brilliant, pretty cherry kirsch scents lifts from the glass; the palate's fabulous with racy, crunchy redcurrant fruit and crushed mineral flavours, and the finest of tannic structures. Match with roast lamb.
