Compared to the evident charm of Rossignol-Trape's Latricières, his
Chapelle-Chambertin is much more intense and tightly coiled but, don’t be
deceived – there is at least as much fruit just waiting for the moment to
express itself.

Relatively strong reduction obliterates the nose though it's immediately clear
that there is much more underlying material than the Petite Chapelle possesses
as the full-bodied flavors are rich, serious and textured with a distinct
mineral component on the palate staining and impressively long finish. A
classic Chapelle that will need ample time to arrive at its apogee.

Bluish crimson. Sweet and oaky on the nose. Toasty. Smooth though dry and
fresh. Good fragrance and balance though overall quite light.
