Most Exciting Value White
Cuvée Oligocène is often one of our favourite Bourgogne Blancs, but the 2008 has an extra element to it. The rich, opulent style here is reminiscent of Meursault. This is rich and ripe with big, punchy, honeyed flavours that are balanced by a good freshness and the layered texture here belies its humble price. Bravo.

Patrick Javillier’s prime cuvée of Bourgogne Blanc was bottled in November. There are pleasing little green tints to the colour and a delicious freshness which makes the subsequent weight of fruit on the palate all the more impressive. This has a seamless texture as always.
