There are many competing fruit notes in the bouquet, including some fresh pineapple, and a beautifully rich, exotic mouthful follows with a fine clean finish.

Tasted at the IMW 2008 tasting at Vintners Hall. The Bienvenue is closed on the nose, but opens up with continued aeration to reveal subtle aromas of dried orange peel, brioche and a touch of chalk dust. The palate has a pretty apricot and pear drop tinged entry, well integrate oak lending it a creamy veneer with a caressing finish. Perhaps a little “obvious” compared to its peers, but undeniably delicious!
