Most Exciting Wine of The
Vintage
Anything with Perdrix in the name tends to attract my attention and the wine itself proved very amenable, with a firm, elegant character - not as meaty as some Châteauneuf, and can argue the better for it. Very agreeably priced too.
(Tom Cave, BBR Cellar Plan Manager)
From the most northerly of the Charbonnière holdings, located in the commune of Courthezon, the eponymous partridge has found its nest above soils which include more sand and clay than some. The resulting wine has a real aromatic charm and a palate which juxtaposes dried fruits, forest floor and with notes of licorice, tar and very finely-wrought tannins.
