Most Exciting Wine of The Vintage
A rare beast these days: a truly brilliant wine that punches well above its price point. This has lots of dark fruit, an underlying cigar/tobacco spice and a fantastic chocolate finish.
(Fine Wine Department)
There is less of the late-ripening Mourvèdre than usual in the 2008 Rasteau but, as usual, the magician that is Romero manages to get more from less, and this wine is more or less perfect.
