2008 Gigondas, La Terre Des Aînés, Domaine Montirius

This is a silky smooth wine. Juicy, sweet fruit dominates the generous, spicy nose whilst the traditional Gigondas grip is in evidence on the finish, but with gloriously ripe tannins. Hints of hedgerow fruit and black cherries add complexity to the harmonious, long finish. Drink 2011-2016.
