1992 Bowmore 16 Year Old Port Matured

Nose : Big smoke. Quite fragrant with cigar smoke, heather, chocolate covered raisin, liquorice, walnut and sweet mash underneath.
Palate:  Robust, dry and slightly perfumed a hint of lavender (though this is reduced with water). Smouldering peat, hard toffee. The finish is little perfumed.
Comment The nose is fantastic, like the fug in an old Scottish pub: coal fires, cigarette smoke, damp clothes. The perfume pulls the score down.
