Drawing on another joyous vintage and a blend of 80% Sangiovese, 12%
Canaiolo, 8% Malvasia Nera and Merlot, Marco Pallanti has served up
a enticingly perfumed red and black cherry Chianti Classico that has been
further refined in French oak. This is and has never been your average
Chianti; it's one of the very best. The whole Castello di Ama range is
underpinned by an exquisite terroir of limestone-rich scree and immaculate
winemaking, giving wines of grace & longevity; not that you have wait
a lifetime for this beauty - it's as good as ready to go, the silky
mulberry/damson fruit & cherry stone minerality making it a perfect
accompaniment to any meat & even fish dishes...perhaps when you fancy a
change from Claret or Burgundy?

A blend of 85% Sangiovese, with a bit of Canaiolo and some 'other varieties'.
Lovely density and seamlessly integrated. Malt notes, on a bed of chocolate and
prunes. Firm but limber tannins. A juicy tang adding brightness and lift.
