With a beautiful texture and a lovely mix of damsons and dark cassis , Ch.
Ferrière is a concentrated wine in 2009 with very fine-grained tannins
and a deliciously long, fresh finish. This is the first time that Claire
Villars-Lurton has used 100% new oak on her Margaux but you can hardly tell;
the fruit is so concentrated that all is in perfect balance.

Fine dense red, quite lifted, fragrant berry fruit, good concentration and
extraction all in an elegant Margaux style, supple with an attractively firm
finish.

Not the deepest colour. Sweet, spicy, glucose sort of nose. Very vaguely inky.
Then quite tart and with some drying tannins. Not too exaggerated or alcoholic
but not the most mellow. Fresh finish.

Blueberry and mineral aromas. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a beautiful
sandalwood, floral, berry aftertaste. Very polished young red.
