2009 Moulin à Vent, Les Rouchaux, Thibault Liger-Belair

Produced a little lower on the slopes than Thibault’s other cuvées, with a layer of sand over a bedrock of blue granite, this will be the first of his three wines to start drinking. It is gloriously succulent , with exciting blackcurrant and dark raspberry flavours, plump and seductive.

Burgundian vintage. Mid crimson. Solid. Dense. Lots of chew. Like a young Côte de Nuits – chunky.
