This Berrys' Own Burgundy Reserve mixed case features wines from
  • Domaine Jean Louis Chavy in Puligny- Montrachet,
  • Domaine du Colombier (a first-class source of pure, unoaked, mineral-laden AC Chablis),
  • Nicolas Potel (a hallmark Bourgogne AOC Pinot Noir) and
  • Benjamin Leroux (a supple, rich Nuits St. Georges)

Between them they demonstrate perfectly the different styles of wine, terroirs and of course quality that Burgundian Pinot Noir and Chardonnay have to offer.

This irresistibly aromatic Puligny Montrachet by Domaine Jean-Louis Chavy displays generous bright greengage fruit, neatly honed with a light touch of oak. It’s fresh, floral and minerally and is perfect with regal flat fish like turbot.

The wines of Meursault are renowned as the richest of the three famous Côte de Beaune villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault. Made with the assistance of top winemaker Patrick Javillier, this is a an especially elegant example with a gentle figgy nose and a lovely palate of rich, creamy lemon fruit and hints of nut and banana. A firm structure supports the classy, restrained, vanilla oak notes and the very long finish.This would be excellent with cream-based fish and white meat dishes.
