Nicholas Thienpont took up the reins at Ch. Pavie Macquin in 1994, transforming
this once under-performing estate into a cellar must-have for Claret
collectors. In 2002 he became manager at Ch. Larcis Ducasse, unlocking the
potential of this sleeping giant and rocketing the estate into the league of
top Bordeaux estates. We are delighted that he and Christophe Rebould Salze
will join us for dinner tonight, when we will celebrate his achievements
through the enjoyment of 6 of his superb wines through a comparison of 3
vintages from each property to include dazzling 2005.
