France versus the New World, A Fine Wine Dinner, Friday 13th April
Roll up your sleeves and prepare to get stuck in tonight: we have the arduous task of pitting France’s finest wines against their New World rivals in this twelve-wine, four-course tasting dinner. The dynamic Anne McHale will take you on a tour around France’s most renowned regions: the Loire, Burgundy, Bordeaux and the Rhône. At each stage she has chosen a New World ‘classic’ to compare with its French counterpart, and only you can decide which you think should win. Representing the New World we have a serious set of contenders, with top-flight, premium wines from New Zealand, Australia, Chile, South Africa and California all on the team. Intrigued? Come along tonight and join in the vote; you may even leave with a new list of favourites!
