This is a course for those with little or no previous wine knowledge. Over six weeks you will learn about wine through taste. We focus on the world’s finest grape varieties and the different styles produced in the major wine regions of the world. You will learn the basic tasting techniques, how to put words to wine and will discover what you like and why. We also cover matching wine with food, deciphering wine labels and explain serving tips and techniques. To assist you when you go out, we also cover navigating restaurant wine lists, the basics of wine service – including when a wine should be decanted – and how to detect a corked wine.
