At a similar level to Berrys’ Introductory Wine School course, during a
Saturday morning’s tuition you will look at wine styles, profiles of the
main grape varieties, some of the factors that make one wine taste different
from another, plus some simple guidelines for food and wine matching. Your
tutor will provide a guide to winespeak and what it all means, plus the ideal
tasting technique.
You will also learn how to navigate wine lists and plan entertaining with aplomb, how to know your Pouilly-Fumé from your Pouilly-Fuissé and bring clarity to your Clarets. After a relaxed, informative morning of tutored tasting and discussion, at 1.10pm you will be served a Champagne aperitif followed by a delicious three-course luncheon to give you a break from all the ‘arduous’ wine tasting.
