Berrys' Introductory Wine Course, Apr 13, 20, 27; May 4, 11, 18
This is a course for those with little or no previous wine knowledge and provides the basic techniques, practice and information to increase your understanding and appreciation of wine. Over six weeks we will learn about wine through taste. We focus on the world’s finest grape varieties and the different styles produced in the major wine regions of the world.

We cover basic tasting techniques, putting words to wine and try to find out what you like and why. We also look at matching wine with food, deciphering wine labels and explain serving tips and techniques. To assist you when you go out we also cover navigating restaurant wine lists, the basics of wine service - including when a wine should be decanted - and how to detect a corked wine. Nuts, olives and cheese will be served at each session as well as a selection of finger food to help you discover which foods and wines work best together.
