The team work hard to make this a consistently enjoyable wine every year. To compensate for the loss of volume in 2010 more village wines have been declassified from the Côte de Beaune to complete this cuvée. Brilliant clear purple in colour with a very prettily floral bouquet, medium body and a fine pure finish. Delicious Burgundy.

Two recent trends which have been continued here by winemaker Pierre Vincent are a slight reduction in the amount of new oak, which now mostly comes from the local forest of Cîteaux, and a slight increase in the use of stems during vinification. The latter is subtly judged though, as there is very rarely any outright feel of the stems in the bouquet or on the palate. 2010 is a tiny crop here, averaging out at 24 hl/ha across the cellar but the wines are magically concentrated.

Vincent indicated that this contains about 40% declassified villages level Beaune. An exceptionally fresh, cool and admirably pure red berry fruit nose with earth nuances introduces delicious and relatively refined flavors that offer good length. The supporting tannins display only mild rusticity and this is really quite good for its level as the presence of the upper level juice is apparent. 2013+
