2004 Ch. la Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan

Ch. la Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Leognan
La Mission often rivals its First Growth sibling in terms of quality, but fortunately not price, and we think this wine certainly gives Ch. Haut-Brion a run for its money this year. This is a blend of 55% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet France. At out tasting it showed intoxicating aromas of tobacco, minerals, mint, red fruits and smoky toasty oak, while the flavours were more reminiscent of spicy raspberries and cream. Very fresh and full on the finish with some firm tannins.Château La Mission-Haut-Brion
