2010 Côtes du Rhône, Les Cranilles, Les Vins De Vienne

Cotes du Rhone, Les Cranilles, Les Vins De Vienne
The three musketeers, Messrs Villard, Gaillard and Cuilleron go from strength to strength, individually and collectively, in the latter case in an increasingly successful joint venture which goes under the name of the name of Les Vins De Vienne. The individual vignerons have now adopted more of a consultancy role; such is their justified confidence in the ability of their long-standing wine-maker, Pascal Marchand.

The 2010 Cranilles is made from a blend of 60 % Grenache and equal shares of Syrah and Grenache. It is textbook Côtes du Rhône, packed with spice, pepper and lots of ripe black fruit and betraying all of the splendour and dexterity of this very fine vintage.Delicious with hearty Mediterranean cuisine or a late winter casserole!
